Dinner.
Japanese food that I definitely miss.
I got a new camera!
I have to go out and take pictures tomorrow. :-)
We had great weather for department activity.
We spent the whole afternoon outside and enjoyed the sun.
And it was 'Swedish party' for the night.
Lot's of singing and laughing. :-)
Today we have department fun.
The whole department will go somewhere and spend the whole day + night having fun activities.
We are divided into teams, and we even have team-colored t-shirts.
I participated in a 5km race today.
It was actually the first time I ever ran in a race.
We were 2 teams, 5 people each, and we went together on my car.
We had some interesting 'happenings' on the way, but we got there just in time.
I managed to run more than half of the 5km, so I'm quite satisfied.
We had a picnic after the race, and that was nice. :-)
We went to a Swedish hamburger chain for lunch.
Yeah, it's junk food, but it's nice once in a while.
And this place seemed much better than McDonalds.
From what I heard, Max is to Swedes what Mosburger is to Japanese.
Interesting to know we share this kind of feeling.
It was a perfect day for playing tennis!
It feels like it's already summer here.
The small square in Malmö.
All the restaurants/bars are full of people on Fridays!
This is the cathedral in Lund.
It's very old and big.
Nice and calm.
I like the quietness.
It's cloudy today and not as warm as last weekend.
Everything looks gray under the clouds.
So much depends on the weather in this country...
The final destination of our section activity was our manager's home.
We all gathered for some nice barbecued meat followed by coffee and dessert.
We didn't eat outdoors because it was a bit chilly, but there was a nice backyard.
I really enjoy visiting people's homes and I thought it was nice that a manager would invite the whole team to his house.
That wouldn't happen in Japan for many different reasons...
After dinner, we went outside and played a game called Kubb.
It's a game where you throw sticks and try to hit the wooden sticks on the ground.
Maybe it's a bit hard to see the sticks in this picture...
Seems like an old game from the viking age.
We had a section activity day at work.
We played a game called "Geocache".
It's like a treasure hunt using GPS info.
This picture was one of the places where the treasure was hidden.
It's the remains of an old youth hostel that was shut down a long time ago.
It would have been really spooky if it had been night time.
This is a very old and beautiful castle in Skåne.
The name is too hard to pronounce...
They had beautiful gardens.
I have to go back to see the roses.
This goat was really friendly.
So friendly that he burped on my hands.
And this was not at the zoo.
We met this cute animal in the garden of an old castle.
I went to a zoo today.
It was more like a big park.
Lots of trees, a lake, and lots of people having barbecue!
It was beautiful weather. Almost felt like summer.
Apparently too hot for the scandinavian animals.
Most of them were sleeping in the shade.
I was never a big fan of these flowers, but that changed after I came to Sweden.
You should see the vast yellow fields!
They're simply beautiful.
And the smell reminds you that spring has really come.
Too bad you can't add smells to blogs.
A colleague and his son.
Small kids are always so cute!
Botanical garden in Lund.
Bright colors!
This place is much better in spring than in summer.
Doesn't this look like Japan?
We had a "hanami dinner" on the balcony.
It was a bit chilly, but really pretty.
Sakura in Sweden is just as good as sakura in Tokyo. :-)
I went to a circuit today.
It was the first time I saw a live car race.
Very exciting!
The picture is of course, Honda.
This is a very old castle near a town called Simrishamn.
The scenery around this area is very nice.
I would definitely visit again.
A row of stones that are very old, from the viking age.
Great weather today on the south coast of Sweden!
